Six Indian curators have been invited by Art Basel and Pro Helvetia Swiss Arts Council to attend Art Basel 2010 and use it as a platform to strengthen networks for future cultural exchanges and collaborative projects between Switzerland and India. Simultaneously, the exhibition, 'Where Three Dreams Cross – 150 Years of photography from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh', opens at Fotomuseum Winterthur in June 2010, followed by a symposium where select speakers from the Indian subcontinent will detail some sections of the exhibition.

All this in the midst of Pro Helvetia New Delhi announcing the names of the artists who have been awarded Residencies in 2011/ 2012.

Through its activities, Pro Helvetia New Delhi helps create the conditions that allow arts professionals and cultural practitioners to explore and address other cultures. It is committed to bringing such opportunities and making cultural exchanges real.

June 2010 promises to be an exciting month.

Announcing names of recipients of Studio Residencies in 2011/2012
Pro Helvetia - Swiss Arts Council announces the names of Indian and Swiss artists who have been selected by the jury to avail of the Studio Residency it offers. More 



Indian sound artist Ish S to perform in Zurich and Geneva
Ish S, an Indian sound artist and composer will research a soundscape inspired by the city of Zurich, using field recordings and musical composition along with synthesis. He will present his work at F+F Schule für Kunst und Mediendesign' in Zurich  and 'Fête de la musique' at Geneva. More



The Swiss List
Pro Helvetia and Seagull Books London are collaborating over a long-term publishing project entitled The Swiss List. The project envisages publishing a minimum of 8 -10 books of Swiss origin between 2010 and 2012 into the English language for the world and in particular the Indian sub-continent. More



Passages - on the Art of Translation
The current issue of Passages is devoted to the art of translation in a range of contexts, from Swiss literature to theatrical productions and picture books. More
